I signed up to do one this weekend and have failed miserably to go along to any others to gauge prices etc. I will mostly have baby gear and boys clothes 1-4. How much do the clothes go for? The organisers said don't price anything under a pound.
I was thinking a £1 a top or 3 for £2/£2.50. Trousers £2 each? Is that about right? What about books? Mostly I want to get rid of as much stuff as possible. Any other tips would be gratefully received.

That sounds about right, a bit more if they're really nice - I paid £2-3 for dresses at the last one I went to. One woman was doing baby socks at 4 pairs for a pound, fab for me since my dd loses one a day at the moment! Toys tend to be in the £2-5 region. Books I'm not sure, depends how good they are, £1-2 maybe or you could do 2 for a pound on cheap ones. I love jack and Jill sales! Haven't got round to selling anything yet though.

That sounds ok - as you are there you can always start reducing the prices if the stuff isn't shifting.

Thanks. I think I'll have a scout round before we start and check out the competition. I've just spent two hours dettoling the smart trike, and all the plastic tat. I hope we sell it after all this.

Another good way to sell children's stuff is gum tree. I have bundled up parcels of DS's ex favourite stuff i.e. Ben 10 and sold them quite quickly. No costs for posting which is ace, site is uber slow though.

Done it and am now exhausted. It was pretty manic- we sold the Little Tikes car before we even got it out of the boot. Have to say I was quite impressed how well run it was and how many people turned up.
