Local removal company

We are moving within York at the end of the month. Any recommendations for removal firms would be appreciated (and those to avoid). TIA.

When my parents lived in York they used Hooks, for many years. Family firm and my parents were always happy.

Avoid Tiger Removals, they are based in Hull but work in York. Awful company and men! We should have used a different company who came round to quote, can't remember their name but will ask Dh and come back to you!

Hughs Removals! Wish we'd used them instead but we were impatient to move and they were booked on the day we wanted to move. Good luck with it all!

Another vote for Hughes Removals. We moved the week before last and it all went really smoothly. They were a good price, too.

Acomb removals- they moved us 200 miles to York.
