Hi I'm new to the forum and looking for recommendations for a good full-time nursery in the Clarkston / Newton Mearns / Eaglesham area?

Maybe not what you're after but we have a truly brilliant part time nanny who lives in Newton Mearns. We live in Queens Park.

We're looking for a nanny share as we only need help for 2 afternoons a week (currently Tue and Thurs but we're flexible with this). We have a large sunny flat and lots of toys for age 1-3 (our daughter is 15 months) so we'd be happy to have another kiddy around...

Our nanny does loads of outdoorsy things, bakes, makes craft stuff... She's fab and our DD loves her.

Just an idea!

If it's not private it'll be done via catchment.... might be worth seeing where would be most likely for yourself.

Otherwise, call health visitor type person- they have lists of all the nurseries in the area.

I know someone else who has her little girl at poppins and is very happy with it. Poppins is on queens drive and you regularly see the girls taking all the kids out to the park or glasshouse.

I've started another thread about my nursery woes- purely a problem I'm having with the managers communication skills ( two of my other friends with children there have commented on this too actually ) but apart from that it's a fabulous nursery. Because I've moaned about it tho I wouldn't want to publically say which nursery it it- is a bit mean, especially as the manager I'm moaning about is a nice person. Plus, my nursery isn't in the area you specified.
