Possible move to Dullingham/ Stetchworth / Cheveley area

We are thinking of moving to the Dullingham, Stetchworth or Cheveley area and I'm trying to find out if there's many babies in the area. We currently live in the sticks at the moment where there's no other babies, so we want to move to a village with more of a community.

If anyone had any views on schools in this area, that would be good to here about too.

Thanks in advance x

Hi Kitkat

We live in Wickhambrook, just up the road from that area. There are quite a few babies around here if the Newmarket tumbletots and other baby groups is anything to go by, or Clare Castle park on a sunny morning! Wickhambrook Primary has straight 1s in its Ofsted report, so is v popular.

Thanks so much for the advice Hth.

I didn't know about tumbletots in Newmarket, so will give that a try. Do you go, do you know if they run them in Summer holidays?

Hi kitkat

Sorry, didn't know there'd been a reply, I expected a notification via email or something. (I don't post very often).

(By the way, 'hth' means 'hope this helps', it's not my name! :-)

Tumbletots aren't running through the summer hols, they start back in early September. They're held in the church hall next to Waitrose. I'll see if I can find some of the emails etc and post back asap. We do go, but my daughter is 15 months and has only been a couple of times so isn't quite as into it as the slightly bigger kids. She likes rolling down the big spongy hills though, and the staff are all really good!

Cheers

Hi Austenozzy

Lol - thanks for pointing out about hth, still getting used to all these acronyms! :)

Thanks that would be great to here more about it, are there many smaller ones, maybe my little one is too young, he's 9 months.

Thanks

Hi KitKat,

Just to let you know they do a class for younger babies as well. I didn't know about tumbletots until I read about it from Austenozzy and when I looked into it they do a Gym babes class for 6 months to walking as well. I have contacted them to see if I can go for a free trial class to see if me and my daughter would like it. I'm quite nervous if I don't know anyone but I think its prob good for my little one to get out and about more!

P.S - I didn't know Hth stood for 'Hope that Helps' either!! It did make me laugh as I would have done the same thing :-)

Hi Gemlouise

Thanks for your message, I had a message from them too, I think they're starting back after school holidays, so maybe see you there!

Ok great :-) If you do move nearby to me in Newmarket I'd be happy to meet up if you wanted to. Or maybe see you at the group then!
