i must admit i dont log in myself pretty often but when i do doesnt look like nothing really change ?
i was wondering if it is because there is not many "mums" out here ?

I tend to agree Miel36, there doesn't seem to be that many regular posts so maybe this isn't the best option to meet other parents.

Have you joined the nct yahoo st albans group? Just stick it into google and request to join - it is very helpful, but again maybe not that active in terms of meeting people for coffee etc, more advice and tips on schools, products, places.

I think the best option is groups? Do you go to any at the moment? Toddler groups, classes - they are the best place to meet others as you are all there for the same reason! Then it's just a case of asking do you want to go for coffee etc? Try not to worry as I'm sure things will pick up when your dc go to nursery or school, however there is always netmums which has a meet a mum board, here's the link: www.netmums.com/local-to-you/local-meet-a-mum

Whoops posted a bit quickly then, just to say good luck and contact your local children's centre for a list of all the toddler groups and classes next to you. You could ask your HV for any friendly places where there are other parents to chat with.

There are also, I'm sure, many other groups to join - just google things to do with babies/toddlers in St.Albans.

Good luck and don't worry.

P.S I would be more than happy to meet you but am not really around in the week and then at weekends it tends to be a case of extended family meet ups (yawn) so it is best to find similar mums in a similar position to you, whatever that may be.

Thank you sweetiaddict !
yesterday i register on netmums and got right away some answer and meeting a mum that will to our house on Tuesday :)
also my registration is pending for the yahoo group .

it is not that i am appose to the toddlers groups etc...having 2 kids a 2.5 years old and a 9 months old its hard to get to this kind of regular things ...i rather meet at my house or the other person and do things on the week end etc...
i guess since we just move from California i am looking for my kids to have friends but also looking having some friends as parents we can connect to on the week end as well doing out door BBQ etc...

Try joining the nct St Albans yahoo group. Loads of people on there. Lots of chance to ask questions and maybe meet some other people.

Next time I will read before posting [slaps head emoticon].
