Things to do with boy 10 in and around Cambridge

We dont get any info on the edge of Cambridge and I find the search engines only throw stuff up like art and theatre.

Anyone know of anything intersting over the july August period that I can keep my ds entertained with. He boards at school therefore in the hols he loses his playmates/family as they all live in different areas. Leaving me home alone with him arrrgh!

There was a recent thread on holiday clubs here.
You could take him geocaching.
There's the park on Lammas Land with the big stuff as well as stuff for littlies.
He could learn some circus skills
Spymasters in Bar Hill would probably require a friend or two to be fun...

the university museums normally do some activities
this can be useful and you can sign up for a newsletter

national trust often do some good summer things - wicken fen did some great one last year - and there is a wild camping site

It's a bit far from Cambridge (40 min drive) but I highly recommend Mepal Activity Centre
