UNION SQUARE LAUNCHES FESTIVAL OF FREE SUMMER EVENTS FOR TEENS

Union Square?s festival of free summer events for teens starts this Monday.

The Summer Hub was devised in response to research suggesting that 8 out of 10 parents and teenagers in Aberdeen feel there isn?t enough for young people to do once school is out. This year?s Summer Hub is back by popular demand after excellent feedback last year.

Tickets are available now for classes ranging from DJ workshops to Hip Hop dance classes, boutique jewellery making and gaming sessions on a 14-metre wide cinema screen. Other events include Mocktail (non-alcoholic cocktail) lessons at Giraffe, pizza making sessions at Frankie & Benny?s and free pampering sessions at PURE Spa.

This year, teens who register for a Summer Hub event before 9th July will be offered the chance to attend an exclusive, free screening of the new Spiderman film on Thursday 12th July at Union Square?s Cineworld cinema. This will be available for Summer Hub participants only.

The Summer Hub 2012 will involve daily week-day events at Union Square, throughout the summer holidays, from 2nd July to the 10th August.
Registration for the events is open now. Places at The Summer Hub are limited and need to be booked in advance.

Teenagers can sign up for events at
