Hi, I'm Melanie and have three children. My youngest is Jamie 9 months. I am a stay at home mum and sometimes get quite lonely. I 'know' people but don't really have close friends. Just wondered if anyone else is in the same situation?

Hello Smooshie; thanks for posting.

The Norfolk site has been rather inactive in recent months, (and this particular thread is very old) so it would probably be worth you starting a brand new thread to see who is still around! I am in the process of taking over as the new Editor for Mumsnet Norfolk, (there has been no Editor for quite a few months), so I plan to get the local site up to speed over the next few weeks, with lots more up to date chat and events etc. It would be great if you could arrange a meetup with others; I will try and pop in too if I am free!

Best wishes, Heather (Editor - Mumsnet Norfolk)
