Hi everyone,

I've recently moved to st.a with my hunny and ds (2) and we have had great fun exploring the area.....I just wanted to post what we like to do to share ideas really as I'm not sure if we know have found everything available...things we love doing as a family are.....

Djs jungle (soft play, although seems to be getting a bit grubby recently)
Toddler splash jets in Verulamium park
Rhyme time in the library
Big Space (Harpenden)
Picnics in the park

We recently moved to St Albans too! Funny enough I have doing the same things as well with my 3 yr old daughter.

I can really recommend Butterfly World. Nice Ethos, Lovely setting, great kids playground, cafe etc.

I like: Big space
Willows Farm (London Colney)
Butterfly World
Verlanium park (watching the ducks, splash pool and the playground)
There are some lovely toddler groups on in and around the town centre

I also go to "Tick Tock Music" with the children I look after. It is fab!

Willows Far,
Whipsinade Zoo

There is a signing babies group at St Pauls on a Monday morning. Try this website toddlersdayout.co.uk/ and join the NCT St Albans Yahoo Group for some inspiration. Hope that helps.

The farm at Hatfield house is very good and as a good playground. Stockwood park, the other side of Harpenden is fun and free! Both places around 15 minutes drive. The Galaria 1o minutes down Hatfield Road is fun for kids a new indoor soft zone is being built and will be up and running in 4 weeks!
