North Lanark where to stay/avoid.

I have posted this elsewhere but advised to move here.
DD is moving to North Lanark after summer. Any advice on where to live and where to avoid. She will be working in Chryston.

I'd avoid all of it if possible.

Stepps has got some really nice bits, and a good new primary school.

Chryston's an easy commute from, well, nicer parts though, like East Dunbartonshire!
