Nappy Laundry

Can anyone recommend a local nappy laundry service?

The only one I have come across so far is Number 1 For Nappies. Has anyone had a particularly good or bad experience of using their service?

Very keen to use re-usable nappies if possible, but the routine of sterilising, washing, and so on sounds pretty daunting!

Routine? What routine? Put them in the bucket with a bit of white vinegar or tea tree oil, when the bucket is full, put them in the washing machine, do a rinse cycle if really poo covered, wash at 40 or 60, depending on nappy manufacturer's instructions. Add white vinegar instead of softener. Hang up to dry. The job is, as my boss says, a fish.

Nappy service? Whatever for? If you have a washer, what more do you need? We have never sterilized nap pies for either of our kids. Don't really know why you would bother.
Best site for nappies is thenappylady.co.uk

This is your first baby isn't it? :)

Listen, before you sign up for a service, give it a go at home first, you may find disposables are what you end up with (and no baby has ever died because they were put in Pampers).

Good luck!
