Advice on seaford

Hello, i'm viewing a property on Seaford. I would like to know what's to live there. I have two young children. Is there any beach? I've seen that it's mainly port, also can't see parks or facilities like big supermarkets. I've done some research on the area which wasn't not very positive about living there, but the posts were from time ago, I was wondering if things has changed. One of the closer school is meeching valley primary, any thoughts?
Sorry to bash again with location, but I do try to do my homework before viewing as then I have to make up my mind pretty quick.
Thanks in advance.

Isn't there a big supermarket in new haven? There is a shingle beach and lots of open land on coast. Dh grew up there and it seemed quite a nice outdoor place (although think most of his teenage etc antics involved lewes or brighton).

Why don't you drive round and look?

Seaford has an amazing long beach and a lovely park just off the seafront which my dds used to love.

It is a quietish little town, with its own railway station. I'm not sure about supermarkets, but there's a large Sainsburys and a Lidl in nearby Newhaven.

I can also heartily recommend the Indian restaurant in the High Street, Moons I think it's called... Grin

Oh and it's just a lovely beach not a port, Newhaven is the port and has ferries to France.

My parents live there and really hate it! They arevtrying to sell up and move but houses are sticking around so youncould get a bargain.

thanks so much for your advice. Now I do have to apologise the property I am looking (hopefully) is in Newhaven.I am planning to go and have a look, already checked schools. I just like to have some opinions from people who knows de area. I 've been looking and as you mention seems that there's no beach, but seaford no too far. supermarkets? not so sure, a part for the one on seaford. Keep looking though.
Anyway thanks a lot I really appreciate.
