Hi all,
We move to Teddington in 2 weeks (Shacklegate Lane, opposite the cementary). Leaving my old Hackney hood! Excited but nervous. Anyway, if any of you are also new to the area around that time and fancy a newbies meet up, let me know! I have two boys (3.4 years and 18 months) and I have Fridays off.

Hi dilys4trevor, did nobody answer your post?!

I'm not a newbie, but am always happy to grab a coffee. My girls are 2 and 6.

tangledtights · 14/06/2012 11:32

hi, we've also recently moved to Teddington and are definitely up for a coffee. I have a DD who has just turned 4 and a 2 and a half year old DS. My DD is fairly unsettled after the move so it would be good to get some playmates for her. There's another couple of us on the late admissions thread.

Devora, I remember you from another thread I started but have probably name changed since then. The area seems really friendly. Smile

londoniana · 14/06/2012 11:52

please count me in too :)

my daughter is turning 4 in August and we've just moved to Teddington as well. I'm working FT so can only weekends or evenings or the occasional Friday lunch, as I tend to work at home on Fridays.

tangledtights · 14/06/2012 12:06

A weekend meetup would work for us. We're free most days though. Outdoors would be better as my two can't sit still for longer than it takes them to eat a cake!

A good place to go is Langdon park or broom road playground after school pick up from Hampton wick 315 .all the very litte ones wearing uniform are currently in the nursery and will go to reception in sept I am always there with my boys weather permitting.very easy to hat to people there.

dilys4trevor · 24/06/2012 21:30

Hello all! I had given up on any response, so delighted to see these! Really loving Teddington.
My boys are fine but eldest (3.7) is missing 'old nursery' a great deal and I'd love to find him some playmates, plus meet some local mums.
So, I am free on Fridays but weekends also work. Outdoors (rather than cafes) suits me best too as my 3 year old has ants in his pants and basically only eats to survive.
I live in the Church Road end but am more than happy to meet somewhere else in Tedders. Free next weekend, if that isn't too no-mates

sorry for the slow reply. Been ill and exhausted. Think the move is just catching up with me! Obviously the weekend that's passed is no good now. I could do this Sunday if that suits anyone else? We're in Hampton Wick but I can drive anywhere. Smile

Peniston · 03/07/2012 17:45

Hi, I am a relative newbie (moved here a few months ago), similar aged dcs etc. and would be up for a meet. Will send a pm.

Peniston · 03/07/2012 18:29

I also wanted to share this excellent website which lists local activities for preschoolers

londoniana · 03/07/2012 18:40

I'd love to come on Monday but we're going on vacation. Please keep me on the list for next time :)

londoniana · 03/07/2012 18:41

I meant Sunday :)

Hi All, I hope I'm not too late to join this group?

We are just in the process of moving from Clapham
Common to Teddington in the coming weeks as we want a better family life and because Teddington is soooo lovely! Fell in love on our first visit!

Would be great to meet up with others of possible, especially as we don't know anyone in the area.

My DS is 3 in September and although he attends nursery 4 days a week it would be great to make friends in the area for us both, oh and hubby too! Oops!

Does anyone know of any good Childminders in the area? Shared childminders? Considering nurseries close to work at Waterloo or local childminder! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

xxxx

Hello all,
Peniston and I have nearly made a playground meet up, but thanks to the shite weather, not managed more than a quick 10 mins. But we are not to be defeated. We plan to meet up properly in a few weeks, so will message nearer the time for anyone who wants to join.
Meantime, if anyone fancies a weekend arvo drink and some duck feeding/slide action at the Anglers over the coming weekends, then let's do it.
I've got two boys - 3.7 & 20 months - and it's always a hit for an hour or so.

hey dilys,
Whenever I go past the Anglers, I always think it looks great for an adult drink but didn't realise kids could go as well. Count me in. PM me when you want to organise a date! Smile

zoe55 · 15/07/2012 15:32

Hi Everyone,

We went yesterday to the Anglers with hubby and DS and it was such a lovely afternoon. Huge play ground for the kids, great food and nice wine! It was such a contrast to central London, everyone was so friendly, DS was quickly included in the games and fun with the children. Sorry if you all know this already, we were just really impressed and now can't wait to make the move more than ever to Teddington in 2 weeks!

Count me in when you arrange a date. Xx

SkaterGrrrrl · 17/07/2012 21:12

Yup, please message me if there are meetings being planned :)

mamij · 20/07/2012 22:42

Same here. And if anyone's a SAHM, happy to meet during the weekdays too. I have DD1 (3 in Nov) and DD2 (9 months).

Peniston · 21/07/2012 20:56

Allegedly, the sun is due to come out tomorrow (Sunday 22) and Dilys and I have made last minute plans to meet up. If any of the other newbies see this post in time, please do inbox one of us for details!

zoe55 · 22/07/2012 19:07

Hi,

Does anyone fancy trying to arrange a date in the next few weeks where we can all meet one weekend morning or afternoon? Just thought if we try book in advance we might have more chance of success?

How about Saturday 25th August or the bank holiday Monday?

Hope everyone has enjoyed the sun?

Xx
