Marmalade Caterpillar vs Balham Nursery - any views

DD goes to MC at the moment and happy there but has been offered a place at Balham Nursery. Any thoughts on whether I should move her or not? Anyone else done a switch or have DCs at Balham nursery?

I haven't used Balham Nursery, but I have a lot of friends that have used it over the years and have had nothing but great things to say about it.

The first child I knew was there almost 15 years ago, and the most recent just 3 years ago, with several in between, so I guess it is pretty consistent!

I have a friend with a son at MC and she seems very happy with it and, again, I have known lots of children go there in the past. Compared with Balham...Well they are different, that's for sure, but the children at Balham all seem jolly happy whenever I'm going past there. I've been inside a fair few times to collect friends' assorted offspring and have been impressed with the set up.

Lovely staff, lots of great space inside and out and it seemed like a very happy little place. I think quite a few of the kids are there all day, but not sure what the percentage is. A fair few of the ones I know that went there went on to Holy Ghost and Honeywell. My three teens were at Honeywell, hence why I know so many.

My youngest DD is three and is at another nursery just around the corner from you and I certainly would have considered Balham had I actually been living in the country at the time of applications....But I'm too late for all that so she's staying where she is. I'll save the tearing out my hair for Reception entry...

But, if I had a place offered at Balham I think it highly likely that I would snap it up.
