Nurseries around Haywards Heath

Hi there - my DH and I are moving to Haywards Heath in July from Canada with our DS who will be 12 months. Both of us will be working and we're looking to find a nursery for DS. Trouble is we're in Canada until July so can't look around any ourselves - fortunately various family members have volunteered to have a look around between now and July and we're happy to put down a deposit for two/ three suitable ones and then make a final call when we see them ourselves.

Having looked online, Elan in HH looks good and wondered if anyone has any experience of this one at all?? Or there's Tudor House Montessori in Burgess Hill, but we'd rather we were nearer to HH (Primrose House which is the sister nursert in HH is full). We're looking for him to start September, prob 2/3 days a week.

Any help/ advice/ experience would be massively appreciated!! We'll also be new to West Sussex, so any ideas of where to settle permanently around the HH area also be gratefully received (we'll be renting for the first 6 months).

TIA x

Hi we live in Lindfield next door to HH I have two friends who use the Montessori nursery in HH one is in Franklands Village I believe. My Mum lives locally so she is our saviour for a while. There is the Acorns in Lindfield and two Montessori which DD will start at when 2 at the Montessori in the cricket pavillion on the village green. The other one takes them at 20 months. The ones in HH carry on through the summer hols so you would be able to look when you arrive. Dont panic it seems there are always places its nothing like London where you cant anywhere decent for love or money!
We moved from London last year to Lindfield so if you like pubs, duck ponds and being surrounded by green while being 5 mins to the station..well I wouldnt live anywhere else. People are nice and there are plenty of baby groups in HH to meet other mums incl Library which is free on a Tuesday, Peepo which is £1 on a Thursday and various others too. Most things stop during the summer but Kindermusik has a summer class going. Look them up its fab.
There is an NCT Mid Sussex page on Facebook you might get more response there as I could never get any HH info through MN...
Good lucK!

Emski you are a legend!! Thanks so much for that info partic re: Lindfield. We had read about it being lovely so great to hear from someone who actually lives there. We are ex-Londoners who've been doing the city thing in Toronto for 2 years so the idea of pubs combined with duck ponds sounds amazing! Thanks again x
