Meeting others who will be starting Reception at Brunel Field in September

We're relatively new to Bristol with a Reception place at Ashley Down Primary (Brunel Field) in September. We would love to meet up with other people in and around Bishopston/Montpelier/St Andrews/Horfield whose kids will also be starting there so there'll be some familiar faces on the first day ... if you're interested please let me know!

DS1 is at Brunel Field and I just wanted to say how welcoming and friendly we've found it.

I can't help with details of other reception parents for 2012 but, if you want to get to meet other Brunel Field parents you'll usually find lots at St Andrews Park after school (from 3:30). Just look out for the green jumpers!

The park is always a nice place to be on a sunny day anyway and if you were to say hi to any of the mums and dads and mentioned your LO was starting in September I'm sure they'd be happy to talk.

... thinking on it you may find a few also have younger siblings who'll be starting reception in September too.

Hi Bramblehead my ds is starting reception this year at Brunel fields, we're really excited because it seems like a great school. I have heard that they organise a teddy bear's picnic in July so everyone can meet up before starting school, I presume someone will get in touch with us closer to the time.

Hi 8rubberduckies yes we just got a letter today about the teddy bear's picnic - it's great that they organise it! Do you fancy meeting up before then? If you're free at all during the week we're free most tuesdays and fridays (sometimes wednesday mornings too).
