Move where?

We need to move as our rented bungalow in Wallington is being sold. We have a 2 y.o. and a 3 m.o. Pre-kids, we used to live in a flat in Wimbledon. IMO, we had loads more to do with kids in Wimbledon and miss local family/friends but moved out for a house/garden. We think Wallington is OK, but would prefer to move out - mainly to get further away from Croydon. We're unlikely to be able to afford to rent a house and nursery for them both so we're back looking at flats. DS's nursery in Wallington is the only one we can afford in a 100 mile radius! It's OK, not the best best best ever but we're happy enough with it. Due to the age of DS, we're also thinking about potential catchment areas. Our choices are:

  • Flat in Wallington and hope get into Bandon Hill
  • Flat between Sutton & Carshalton Beeches, 0.4 miles away from Barrow Hedges
  • Flat in Belmont, 0.4 miles from Avenue Primary
  • Flat in Cheam (need to look at schools)
OR:
  • Look for Childminder in Morden (few seem ok) and get flat back in Raynes Park/Morden (need to look at schools).

Requirements: distance from nursery, catchment areas and green spaces/nearby park. Any thoughts much appreciated!

Hi Jennlx - I know Cheam a bit, schools all good, catchment areas seem to be quite small. I don't think there are that many flats in Cheam either.
