Schools Appeals!

Hi Folks

I was wondering if anyone had experience for appealing for a Primary 1 place? Any info would be gratefully accepted!

How far up are you on the waiting list. There is always a lot of movement between now and the start of term.

I'm third at the moment, I'm hoping there may be some loss to private education, deferrals and movers but I think I have to appeal too.

I don't know anything about appeals but I would think if you are third you have an extremely high chance of getting a place.

I also think that with a third place in April, you are very very likely to get in! Make sure that they don't forget your name (i.e. call every couple of weeks to ask). Good luck!

What school is it? Did they let you know what place you were at on the waiting list because that's really good! Third sounds promising, fingers are crosse for you!

Yes the letters all tell you what number you are on the list, how many people are on the list etc. I won't get my hopes up at the moment but keep my fingers crossed. Seems like it has happened to lots of people this year.

I know many people who have applied out of catchment and only 1 seems to have been successful for a less popular school but which is nearer to her than her catchment school.
