Hi,
My DD is 21 months and in a private nursery full time. Next year when she is 3, we are hoping to get her into the Glasgow Academy Nursery with a view to her being schooled there. We went a visit and were blown away by the facilities and what they do there. As she is my only one, I feel it will be worth it.
Does anyone have any kids there or know about the school? she also will get an assessment in March, what will this entail?

Imurphymum don't know if you are still about.

My son went to the nursery and the kindergarten. It was a great decision. The staff are excellent and so are the facilities. He's got a lot out of it.

I think the assessment is not something to get excited about. If I remember rightly they just watched him play. The only rule was that he be out of nappies by the time he started and I think we achieved that properly within a week of starting.

Hi - my kids go there and it is an outstanding school in everyday. Traditional values yet forward thinking. So many amazing extra curricular activities, shows, sports, outdoor education etc etc! Good luck!
Ps - much better to get in early as the school does become full towards P5 Ish

Cheers! We loved it from the visit. It's a big commitment but we are definitely going for it. We have another year yet so watch this space xx

does anyone know if you can get your 15 hours nursery place fully funded there, or do you have to top up the fees?

Hi coco it is partnership and I get £500 rebate per term back from the council. My son does 2 1/2 days if that helps????

Hi, thanks Wentworth, that's great to know.
