Nurseries & primary schools in the west end

Hoping against hope that we finally get to move home soon....currently in the unfriendliest place on earth and dying to get back to the chilled out west end!!

Just wondered if anybody has any impressions of NotreDame primary? I just think the new Hillhead primary would be far to overwhelming - it´s enormous!

Also any recommendations on nurseries? I emailed Kelvin Park a week ago and no response. When they say the waiting list is long....do they mean a year or so?

Hi, my friend is a teacher at Notre Dame primary and she can't recommend it enough. Also my partners son who is 15 went there. I stayed along the road from it. Great wee school. The only thing is if you have a son the secondary is St Thomas Aquinas which is awful unless he can go private. If you have a daughter then she will stay at the all girls secondary at Notre dame

My friend has twins in P1 and they seem very happy and settled.

Would say though that I know loads of kids at the new Hillhead Primary and I've only really heard positive things about the school.
