Any Trumpington/Fawcett MNers out there?

Moving from Scotland, got 2 DCs, thinking about living in Trumpington and sending DS1 (5) to Fawcett. Would love your views on living in the area and the school . . .

Hello, yes my dd has been at Fawcett preschool since moving here last year and has been very happy there. We didn't get a reception place though, even though it was our first choice, as we are out of catchment. We are now moving to another village so wouldn't have worked in the end. But enough about me! I have heard nothing but praise for Fawcett, they have a fab and inspirational head teacher.

Trumpington is a funny old place to live though. No cafe apart from waitrose, and no decent child friendly pub. Good links into town tho, easy cycle in, park n ride nearby, and the busway. Wonderfully friendly toddler group at C3 in alpha terrace mon and thurs.

The only thing you might want to consider is the huge devolopments happening in trumpington - great Knighton and trumpington meadows. They l

Oops look impressive on the brochures but will undoubtedly put strain on the area too. Good luck!
