Easter hols meetup, anyone?

Would anyone be up for a daytime meetup in a park somewhere in Manchester this Easter holiday? I'm thinking somewhere with an enclosed playground/lots of space for picnics. Any takers? And any ideas about location?

I've got two boys, 4.7 and 17 months. They're lovely and will play with anyone, though the older one might insist his name is Batman Grin

Meeeeeeee! When do the Easter holidays start?

NinthWave · 12/03/2012 11:53

Mon 2nd April. 6th & 9th are the Easter bank holidays. The second week would be better for me I think.

I would love to come too. Dd is 8 and ds2 is 3. I won't bring ds1 as he's 15 and I don't think it would really be his thing. Grin

MrsChemist · 12/03/2012 12:20

Also, where shall we meet?

MrsChemist · 12/03/2012 12:24

I'll throw Heaton Park out there because it's close easy to get to and big and amazing.

TheOneWithTheHair · 12/03/2012 12:39

Heaton Park is good. I'll try to get inmyspare time to come too.

NinthWave · 12/03/2012 20:20

I tried to reply to this thread earlier, but MN broke and it got eaten Hmm

Heaton Park sounds good, we can train/tram it.

Me! I would like to comeGrin! I don't really know where Heaton Park is but theonewiththehair can come with meGrin.

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/03/2012 20:50

I can do the second week except the Monday.

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 14/03/2012 20:53

Yes, I'd like to come, if that's ok?

I missed the pub one out of sheer absented-mindedness Sad, so will try to keep this on my active convos

Heaton Park is unbelievably convenient for me, but have car, will travel (and can squeeze another adult and child in for lifts).

inmysparetime · 14/03/2012 21:00

I'm at work on Mon& Tues, and away for the bank hols, otherwise I'm about, and have a 10yo and 8yo.

NinthWave · 14/03/2012 21:01

OK, I propose either Weds 11th or Friday 13th - any preferences?

OP posts:
CharlotteBronteSaurus · 14/03/2012 21:04

i don't work on Weds so that's good for us.
also, judging by the Christmas holiday, i may have killed one or both of the children if we leave it too late

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/03/2012 21:04

I would prefer Wednesday but can do either.

NinthWave · 14/03/2012 21:06

Haha Charlotte I know that feeling!

OP posts:
inmysparetime · 16/03/2012 06:40

Either is fine with me, someone pick one please (and a time) and I'll be there with my two (10&8)

NinthWave · 20/03/2012 19:30

Right, well after lengthy consultation with my mother (who is visiting Tues-Weds) it looks like Friday is the only day I can do, now.

How does that suit everyone? I don't know Heaton Park at all really so someone will have to tell me a landmark to meet at Grin say 12ish? Or a bit later?

OP posts:
inmysparetime · 21/03/2012 07:09

Friday noon is fine by me.

TheOneWithTheHair · 21/03/2012 07:25

That's good for me too. Can't give a land mark because I dont know that park either.

MrsChemist · 21/03/2012 17:27

Heaton Park tramstop would be fine for meeting, it's across the road from the park entrance and if most people are getting the tram, it'll be easy.

TheOneWithTheHair · 22/03/2012 12:00

Good idea.

inmysparetime · 30/03/2012 19:52

Just giving this a quick bump now Easter hols have started.

inmysparetime · 05/04/2012 08:02

8 days to go, bumping before I go away for the weekend Grin

NinthWave · 06/04/2012 21:19

Evening all :)

Given the unpredictable weather we've been blessed with recently, it's been suggested that the Museum Of Science & Industry might be a more suitable place to meet on Friday - what does everyone think?

If it does turn out to be gorgeous sunshine, we can always revert back at the last minute...

(Also, if anyone wants to add me on FB just chuck me a PM and I'll link you)

My DCs are big fans of MSIM so whatever's the consensus we'll just turn up.
