Hi all, I have a question about the ex-council flats in Borland Road, Teddington. If anyone lives in the area I would really appreciate if you could send me a private message. Essentially, I'd like to know how safe / good that area is. I know the area around the development is excellent but I'm not sure about those particular flats and terraced houses. I went today and saw a very nice flat but then I was told they were ex-council so not sure how bad that is (I'm not from London).
I'm a single mom (recently became single :() with a 3.5yr old daughter and would really like to move in the area for the schools, but can't afford to get into a house so I thought a flat would be a good option. These Borland road flats are in the Collis catchment area, they're right next to the school.
(my other question would be regarding Collis itself -- do we have any chances for in-year admission? she's eligible for Reception in the Fall of 2012 but we missed the January deadline).
Many thanks to anyone who could help.
A.
