The Kiltwalk is a sponsored marathon walk to raise money for Scottish children's charities. The Speyside walk will take place on Sunday May 13.

There are two versions of the Speyside Kiltwalk to choose from, both ending in the village of Aberlour. One is a 26-mile marathon walk from Buckie, the other a 16-mile walk from Fochabers.

The Kiltwalk will take you through the heart of whisky country - the route of the Speyside Way, along the coast and past the River Spey. This is some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery and you are likely to see seals, ospreys and even dolphins.

Both walks will end at the Mash Tun pub where they will be met by Moray Firth Radio?s Ginno Conti, live music, a BBQ and refreshments. Pipe bands will also be accompanying the walkers at several stages.

Money raised will be split between Aberlour Child Care Trust, CHAS, CLIC Sargent and the Tartan Army Children's Charity

There is also a Central Belt Kiltwalk - this is the flagship event and sets off from Hampden on Easter Sunday, ending at Loch Lomond

My husband is doing the kilt walk, thinks he doesn't have to train for it!
