Where to live in Oxford?

Hi Mums,
I am seriously considering relocating from North London to Oxford. I live with my 17 months old baby boy and I am in part- time employment as a Montessori Teacher. Ideally I would love to live in an area with good primary schools, vibrant, safe, close to shops, gym, and not very far from the city centre. I do drive but I was told that cars are practically useless in Oxford since it is very difficult to find any parking space. I am looking to buy 2 to 3 bedrooms house or apartment in a good condition and hopefully recently refurbished. Any advice about family friendly areas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. N.

Where are you working at the moment? Have you investigated Kidlington? Not too far from the centre, but on a good bus route. Local gym and shops (leisure centre with creche).

Summertown would be my other choice though not sure about schools there.
