Hi, I have posted about moving to the Wirral/Chester. We currently live In portsmouth but DH may need to relocate to work in Ellesmere Port. We have dd aged 1 and ds aged 7. Our budget is £110k for 3 bed. Any recommendations at all? Thank you

Maybe have a look at property in North Wales (Wrexham / flintshire). These 2 counties border Cheshire, good road links and property is cheaper.

Property is cheaper in Ellesmere Port than Chester and villages, too - it's really hard to recommend without you giving some clues!

Hi there,

I come from the Wirral and think you could get a decent place in Prenton/Oxton for that budget. It's close to J3 of the M53 and would take 10-15 minutes to get to Ellesmere Port. Alternatively you could look at Bromborough, which is a bit closer but (IMO) not as nice. However, there are 2 very good grammar schools in catchment.

You might struggle to get something in Chester, Saughall or Blacon might be affordable, but definitely check the area out as they aren't the most popular bits of Chester.

For example this house is on a direct train line through From Liverpool to Ellesmere Port :).

You won't get anything in Saughall at that budget :( Blacon a possibility.
