New family in Marshalswick

Hi there
Just moving to St Albans at the end of April into the Marshalswick area and have a youngster (will be about 9 months when we move.) Was hoping to find other local mums to meet up with and am looking for tips about good places that are baby friendly - either for outings or regular places to play/swim/generally entertain her.

Not sure about Marshalswick itself but there are lots of baby and toddler groups around St Albans, I used to use the one at Colney Heath church hall on a Wednesday morning which is about a 5 min drive. Marshalswick have a community centre by the shops so there should be something there. You will be close to Willows Farm and DJ's Jungle softplay too.

If you go to yahoo groups and join the nct st albans group you will find other mums and ideas if you post.
