Stoves!

I would like a new fireplace and a wood burning stove installed in my living room. I have been quoted £2,500 of which only £700 was the cost of the stove.
Does anyone have any recommendations for someone who could replace my fireplace and install a stove for less than this?
Or does this sound right?
(I saw a stove in B&Q for £300!)

Marking my place as I want one too!

Was it burning question who quoted you?

Hoolet · 03/02/2012 21:21

Tom Brock is the guy you want.

Cristiane · 03/02/2012 21:54

Why?

Bibbob · 04/02/2012 15:58

It was a place in Dunbar that gave me that quote.

Tom Brock Link here - he's quite busy but I've bought two stoves from him and he was cheaper than the cheapest I could find online and he did a good job fitting it.

Have absolutely NOTHING to do with a company called Liners Ltd, cowboys. [Bitter]

We used Tom Brock too and he was very good. I think our price was a bit less than yours (although the stove cost the same) but it depends on how much work you need done to your chimney.

Probably too late but Grate Scots did an amazing job installing our stove. I think price is mid range but really worth paying for skill and knowledge. After all an incorrectly installed stove is dangerous!! as previous poster stated it does depend how much preparatory work involved in installation.
