Hello there,

I'm moving back to Queen Margaret Drive in March and keen to get my 3.5 year old into a good local nursery. I've heard good things about Kelvin Park Early Years but know they have a long waiting list. Any other suggestions? He'll be four at the end of March and don't want him out of a nursery setting for too long. Thanks in advance :-)

Full time or just the 3 hours?

Hi just for the funded hours.

My kids were at Belhaven a few years ago. It was great and is your nearest state nursery. You might get an afternoon place, don't know how full it is these days.

Yes Belhaven is great, I had two children there and they still like to go back and visit the staff. Oh the hours I spent in the happy park!

All the nurseries seem very oversubscribed at the moment, don't know why, but it's worth signing up at Belhaven and Kelvin Park.

Thank you very much. Will keep you posted :-)

Ok have printed off the forms and am putting down Kelvin Park and Belhaven Nurseries. Any suggestions for a third choice? Also, how soon do I need to enrol DS for primary school? He is due to start in August 2013. Thanks for all your help - we're delighted to be moving back to Scotland after six years in Nottinghamshire but it's all a little overwhelming at the moment :-/

You don't need to enroll for school until this time next year. I think that your nearest alternative nursery for a third choice would be the nursery class for Dunard Primary. I looked round years ago and it seemed fine but my kids didn't actually go there so can't really comment. Good luck with your move!

Thank you :-)
