Meeting new mums in Hanover area

Hi Ladies - I moved to Hanover in June and have a 9 weeks old baby (born 22.11). Would like to chat/meet with other Hanover mums to widen my support/friends circle. Also i've been assigned to City View HV when i used to go to Tarner when I was pregnant. Looks like I can't join Tarner's playgroups which seems a bit ludicrous. Does anyone know what City View has to offer?

Congratulations! I'm also in Hanover, and have a 10-month-old son. I haven't been to Cityview, but go every Monday to the baby group at Fairlight, which is small and very friendly. (Tbh, Tarner was sooo busy that it was difficult to chat in a relaxed way, so I don't think you're missing out).

If you're bfeeding, you should definitely come along to the breastfeeding cafe at the Hanover Community Centre on Tuesday at 10.30am. There are breastfeeding peer supporters, but it's also a social thing, and there are loads of very little babies.

Those two are the best for tiny ones locally, but there's loads of other stuff going on. Get your health visitor to get you onto the post natal course at Fairlight - I went on it and we still meet up every week, more reliably than my NCT lot.

Thanks a lot - I think i will give Fairlight a go but it seems to be just during his nap time ;) I'm really keen to meet other mums and dads in Hanover. I meet regularly with my nct group but we all live quite far from each other.
I pretty much given up breastfeeding as it was running me down but it might be worth going to the centre to talk through moving on from it.

Hello, I live in Hanover and am about to have my 2nd baby in a months time! Would love to meet- I hadn't heard of the fairlight group but was considering the BF group at the Hanover Centre (providing BF works this time as it didn't go well last time!!)
