Hi, my great-grandfather was sent out from England as a child without his family with other such children. His surname was Wells and I was just curious to know if there are any other Wells' from the New Forest area on this site. I don't remember him much as he died when I was 3 but my dad always said that he was a really lovely, quiet man who was very adept with a mouth organ. Anyway, if you know of anyone in the vicinity who has stories about people in their family whose kids were taken away from them in the early part of last century, he might be one of them and I'd be interested to hear from them.
