Moving to Brighton

We're considering moving to Brighton from London, cos we just can't afford things here any more, and we would love to come and live by the sea.
Does anyone know what the best infants schools are around? We're considering Brighton, Hove and further afield if necessary. Suggestions greatly appreciated :)

Carlton Hill is fantastic - my own DDs had a great time there & any problems have mostly been dealt with very well, good cross mix of ages of parents which is good for older parents & good racial mix & class too - & I've found it all very friendly & not at all cliquey & the head is very approachable?.they do tend to get a higher intake of problem & SN kids as they are known to be great with turning such DCs around & helping them settle into School life, but we've not found that to be a problem & I actually like that DD mixes with all walks of life there & gets to see behind "naughty" behaviour & see DCs grow & change under the Schools guidance

St Lukes I hear is Good

& after a few changes of Schools who didn't deal well with her autistic DS, my friend LOVES Middle Street, though having met a lot of her parent friends, it does sound a bit divided & some are a bit snotty about "chavvy lot" Hmm

hope that helps

& should have added - go for it - I did & its the best move I've ever made - Brighton is a far more DC friendly city than London :)

Can I add Davigdor Infants, excellent, also people rave about West Hove / Comnaught/ Stanford...loads of good schools in fact... Depends where you will be but catchment areas in general are tight.
We moved from London, definitely a different (better) pace of life and place for the dc's as well as me and dp - highly recommend
