Clifton Hall School - advice/experiences

My child in secondary school is academically bright, but would I think benefit more from a small school like Clifton Hall, and would be grateful for any info/experiences/advice. It seems to be small and caring, is it also good academically?

I don't think that their exam results are quite as good as some of the other independant schools in Edinburgh. We did consider it for dd because of the small class sizes but unfortunately as the year numbers are so tiny they do not offer a very good range of subjects at examination level, and didn't offer 2 of the subjects that dd thought she might take, although we were told that if there was sufficient demand that they would look into it. We didn't want to take the chance though.

They don’t select who they take in which is perhaps the reason the academic results might not be as high as other private schools. But I’m really interested in it as it seems to offer a refreshing approach! I’ll look forward to seeing any responses to the OP.

Clifton Hall uniform- could get from a mum that organize it, school could also give you the detail.
It is small and consists of Primary and secondary school.
