Hi Mums

I've just moved to Leytonstone from Vietnam (big change, I know!).. I have a two year old and was wondering if anyone could recommend a mother and toddler playgroup? Or are there any regular mum meet ups I could join you ladies on?

Also, if there are any Vietnamese mums out there, it would be great to have a coffee sometime! (actually any mums for a coffee would be good :))

Happy New Year!

Hi Trang83, welcome to the area. I leave in Leyton and have 18months old daughter. We go to few classes in the area. Where about are you? Welcome for coffee.

Hi BandVteam, I'm near Hollow Ponds but would be ok to come to Leyton.

My son is doing a couple of mornings at nursery now, and I go to a couple of classes myself (like Yoga at Cathall)... which classes do you go to?

Sorry for the late reply!

Hi Trang83, although I'm new to the area, I only moved here from Hackney so not quite as far as you! I'm looking to join the Cathall yoga classes - what's it like there? Currently 14 weeks pregnant, so I'm still able to stretch a little without rolling around!

Hi Trang83, we go to a very nice baby-toddler group in Leyton Christ Church on Francis Road every Tuesday from 9.15-11.15 and usually we do swim/soft play in Cathall on Friday. I highly recommend the pilates classes with Franco - he is amazing. Used to go before giving birth, but now too busy.

Hi Olives, the yoga class is good, give it a try and i hope to see you there!

You need to book in advance to be sure of a place though, and you can only book over the ohone if you are a member. So best to get a member card (thritysomethingpounds a year)..

Hi BandVteam, I'm a bit tied up now on Friday's but thanks for letting me know... I loved swimming back in Hanoi, so would like to get back in the pool sometime, might have to wait until it's a bit warmer though! I'm not used to this cold!

For all local ladies, there's quite a good toddler playgroup on Colworth Road (St Andrew's church) on Mon/Wed/Fri mornings, they're happy for you to leave the kids there with the helpers while you pop to the shops or something... just need to spend a little time playing with all the kids on occasion... i think it runs from 9.30 til 11.30/12, cost £3.
