Would be grateful for details of any playgroups in the Haymarket area that I can take my 14 month old daughter along to in the New Year.

there's a nice one by the boots on palmerston place 10-12 mondays - by the church there - balloons on the gate when it's on, one in walpole hall off st mary's cathedral fridays 10-12, one up at viewforth in kings church tuesdays 10-12, and deantots at dean church over the dean bridge on wednesdays 10-12. think they are your most local ones. for time out, use the free creche at the scottish parliament - you have to stay on site (there's a coffee shop) and they'll take your lol for up to 3 hours at a time.

Cròileagan (Gaelic Parent & Toddler Group)
No previous knowledge of Gaelic required as everyone is welcome . Playleader arranges and co-ordinates activities and assists parents and children in participating in the activities in Gaelic with their children (with help in English as required). Activities include craft, (e.g. painting, gluing, colouring), games, simple songs and stories all in simple Gaelic.
Bilingualism gives children a lot more than two languages.
People who grow up with more than one language have a range of mental benefits that make them better at learning and more effective at dealing with complex situations.
Children can acquire any language without any ?effort‟, just like learning to walk.
