We are looking at a move to Guildford this coming spring from central london and are hoping that some mums on here might be able to help with a few sticking points!
Our DD is 2.5yrs now so will start school in Sept 2013 so we want to make sure that we buy in the right place for her school. It would hopefully be the Catholic primary in Merrow but what we are unsure about is how close we need to live (if at all) to increase the chances of getting in there - do we have to live Merrow/ Burpham?
Related to that, we both have to commute to london for work so would definitely want to use the mainline station but if we bought in Merrow we would be 3 miles (ish) from there - how do people get to the mainline station? Bus? Drive (heard parking costs and traffic can be bad though)?
Are there any other areas we should be considering!? Our budget is £700-800 for 4 beds ideally.
