Hi,

We will hopefully be moving to Thames Ditton from East Sheen early in the new year and would like to meet up new mums in the area.

I have a 9-month-old baby boy and we are used to lots of activities and playgroups over here.

Does anyone know if there are these activities in TD?

Also, does anyone know a good leisure centre near Thames Ditton like in Esher to join with the family? I know the Lensbury in Teddington but apparently you have to join a 2 year waiting list to become a member for families.

Let me know. I am still living in East Sheen but we will be moving slowly to TD as we will have plenty of work to do in the house and don't want to go mad! :)

Hi , There's a children centre in Thames Ditton opposite the library

here

used to be a mother and toddler group on a Wednesday morning . Also a keep fit class on a Monday morning with creche see here

Day care nursery near the library , playgroup at Teddies Speer road and Playaway for younger children based at the infant school.

Infant school and Junior school both excellent.

Colets health club [
www.coletshealthclub.co.uk/ here] , creche , nursery etc

Lots of childrens actvictes in King Geroges Hall , Esher . this may be helpful

Also lesiure centre at Walton -Xcel here

again creche - large swimming pools etc etc gc

Just to add to Avantia's excellent list:

Rhyme Time at TD library, Wednesday mornings 10:30 or 11:30 - very well attended
Weston Green Stay and Play
Baby Sensory - when I was on mat leave, the nearest class was just across Bushy Park in Teddington, but I've noticed a new Kingston class advertised recently
Parents & Toddlers at St Nicholas Church Hall on Thursday mornings

Colet's is probably the closest thing to the type of leisure centre you want. Loads of junior member activities when your DS is a bit older, but for the moment he'd probably enjoy the creche

You'll find the copy of "Around Thames Ditton" listings mag that'll drop through your letter box probably has loads of other kids' activities listed that I've forgot
