New to the area

I'm new to the area.. Posted in with my husband
What is there to do here ??
So far I can see NOTHING !!! I have a 5 year old DD and am 17 weeks pregnant
Any tips on local things to do ??

I agree that this site doesn't seem to work in this area....no-one posts any events for this area or the Basingstoke site! I'm looking through the NCT brochure which also doesn't have much organised although I'm told there are local events but there is not much publicity!

If you're in Aldershot:
Check out the Children's Centres (Sunflowers, Park, Owls)- they organise quite a few things for children of all ages (and are pretty cheap too!) Their timetables change termly but there's always something going on...

Playgym at Rushmoor Gym is fab.

We love exploring 'the woods', either Rowhills NAture Reserve or the MOD land around Rushmoor Arena and the Wellington Statue.

Badshot Lea Garden Centre (animals to look at, a small playground and a cafe, ideal for an hour or two!)

Alice Holt Forest is not too far, it's free except for parking and your DC would love it. Not far from Bird World. Expensive but you're very close to Legoland.
There are loads of toddler groups around Farnborough, North Camp and Aldershot (Netmums has a list somewhere), your library will have lots of things going on as well as lots of information. There's soft plays in Camberley, Fleet and Farnborough. Have you tried your local sure start centre?
There's coral reef near Bracknell.
Wisley Gardens is about 30 mins away towards London.
