Nice place for lunch in or around Abingdon?

Hi,

Looking for a nice place for lunch (without children, so doesn't have to be kiddy friendly) at the weekend? Pub or restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Mid-price. Abingdon is in between for my friends so none of us have been - so don't know the area at all - thought it'd be easier to venture and park than Oxford.

Might be a bit late but I like The Chequers at Burcot which is not too far from Abingdon.

Can't remember what the pubs are called but there are some lovely ones in frilford heath or gozzards ford.. abingdon is a pain for parking and the pubs/restaurants are rubbish imo. Much better to go for a close village.

The Broad Face on the bridge isn't bad. If you want to spend a bit more The White Hart at Fyfield is lovely.
