Hello!

We've just moved to the area and it would be lovely to meet up with some local mummies - I have two girls - big one 3.5 little one 19 months and another on the way (due June).

Would really appreciate any recommendations for activities in the area and hopefully make some new friends :)

Hello! Where aboutd in Beckenham are you?

There are loads of playgroups in local churches, children and family centres (although some will be closed, not sure when), softplay and swimming at the Beckenham spa and Beckenham library has rhyme time for younger ones and story time for older ones plus stay and play (all free). There are also loads of paid - for classes like sing and sign, music for little people etc.

The local NCT group is worth joining too as they have some postnatal activities too.

What sort of things would you like to do?

Hi :)

We're near Clock House - so nice and close to the Spa and the library are really convenient here - I'll check them out.

I think I'm going to be looking for ballet for my oldest and I'm not sure about the little one yet - happy to give some new things a go

I'm on Copers Cope road and due to have my first baby in August! I'm also fairly new to the area!

I'm up the road in Penge with a 17 month old and second Beckenham library. Think it is 10:30 Mondays, although back at work now so no longer get to go.
There is also a baby and toddler group session at St John's Church Penge high st, also Mondays.

Have you been to Cator Park? Just beyond Kings Hall Rd? Their playground is great for younger kids and it is a lovely park in summer.

was thinking about this last night and might be a little further for you with 2 kids & a bump (Penge High Street on direct bus route) but the Horniman in Forest Hill is great for rainy days. They have Busy Bees Weds and Friday I think, but the actual space is great and lots to see, and loads of space to run around in (if you avoid half term!). There is a charge for the Aquarium but an annual family pass is reasonable (£20) and if you go often is great value. Other than that if you ever feel in need of a coffee and a chat we are about Fridays and always happy to enjoy both.

Hi all, and thanks Mermette ! Now I know there's a toddler group session at St Johns' ( I've been living on Maple Road for a 1 year)
I should take my 8months old twins there, I'd like to meet other mums, all our friends are in France
