Need some advice .....moving to Scarborough

Once my two eldest go to university over next two years, we will be moving to Scarborough with our daughter (currently just one). Does anyone have any words of advice on best places to live, schools, what's it like etc?
I'd be really grateful for help...don't want to move to the wrong town.xx

I live in Scarborough and my eldest has just gone to Uni too. I love it here so ask what you like.

Best bits are the sea, the friendly (mostly!) people, the quite arty feel nowadays, the seasons (how the town sort of wakes up each Easter).

Worst bits are that it takes 45 mins to get to York, the lack of fantastic restaurants and the holidaymakers blocking all the pavements and wearing stupid hats.
