Holy Trinity Richmond

There is a place available in Holy Trinity Primary, and I am tempted to move my child who does not seem to have settled as well as we had hoped in the current school. I am getting quite mixed reviews from parents about the amt of homework the reception children get, and some feel that the teachers are not particularly warm in the younger years. I really want to make the right choice for my child. Child is social, but very young for the school year. If anyone has any personal experience of the school, it would really help. I don't really know what sort of info i am looking for, maybe just some feedback on the homework issue, and some general thoughts on the school. I understand that it once suffered from a bad reputation due to it's response to bullying. Is this correct? If so, have the school addressed this? I have spoken to the teachers, but some 'real' advice would be a big help. Thanks

I know someone with children in reception at HT - I'll ask her what she thinks.

My daughter is in Yr 4 at Holy Trinity, we joined a year ago. My kids have been to several schools here and abroad and I really like Holy Trinity, it has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a good cross section of parents and a very approachable, committed head.

It may get a bad press because a few years ago it wasn't rated highly (had a different head). However, it's really turned around.

Sorry just seen how old yr msg is, you probably made a decision! Hope everything worked out well.
