Mum & baby groups in Bristol

Does anyone know of any Mum & Baby groups in Bristol? I live in Westbury-on-Trym, but happy to travel. My baby's only 11 weeks old, so a bit little for music groups etc, am just looking for somewhere to go to have a cuppa & meet some other mums.

St Peter's toddler group in Henleaze in the hall next to St Peter's church. 50p a session including a cup of coffee and a biscuit! Just drop in and say you are new and the ladies making the tea will sort you out and introduce you to someone with a baby of similar age. I went for 6 years but my 2 are now both in school. No need to commit to going every week, you just pay as you go. Also there is no rota for helping out which some of the other toddler groups have. The Westbury ones always seem to have long waiting lists but I have known people who have been to Imps and WotsTots and have enjoyed them.
As your little one gets older I can also recommend Jack in a Box (baby gym) and Wiggles and Giggles (music).

cairns road baptist church in Westbury Park is a couple of times a week. Cafe and soft play/activities for the older ones as well.

there's a group of local MNers (inc me) and we try and meet up most fridays if you're interested. None of us have babies any more but we love coffee and cake. If you want to join us sometime PM me and I'll send you details :)

There is a new soft play cafe on mondays 10am to 2pm at the Methodist church in westbury( the one next to the car park). It's free for mums & babies, nice to get out for some lunch or a coffee. Or they have a mums & toddlers at the same venue on Tuesday 1.30 to 2.45, small friendly group.

I have just started a blog which may be useful to you, it is called 'Bishopston Mum' and is about being a mum in north-west Bristol and will talk about our personal experiences of the various baby and toddler groups, classes, facilities, etc.

I have only done a few posts as only started it very recently, only covering Toddler Tunes in terms of groups so far, but planning on going to another baby and toddler group tomorrow (St Bons) which I will write about!
