Moving to High Wycombe

Hello

I am moving to High Wycombe from London at the end of this month. I'm very much looking forward to it but a little nervous as I don't know the area yet. I have a 15 month old DD and would love to talk to some local mums who might have suggestions about where to go, what to do, etc.

TIA

Welcome RatHammock! I assume you are in Wycombe by now. I'd suggest going to some of the local toddler groups - there are plenty around, and I met some nice friends at them. My personal favourites were St Augustine's church and the Union Baptist church. The library also does Bounce and Rhyme, and there are regular story/craft sessions at the museum. And of course the kids play area on the Rye. If you get yourself out into the toddler circuit, you are bound to start getting to know people, as it's not a big town. And there are loads of people here who have moved out from London too. Good luck!

Thanks chillipickle.

We are in Wycombe now and haven't been out much yet as our new house is a bit of a project! However I will check out those toddler groups, and we're going to Bounce and Rhyme on Fri.
