Morley or Queen Emma?

We have to choose a primary school for ds1. We're in Morley catchment, so also Queen Emma and have seen both schools. Queen Emma looks lovely, but we're concerned about the absence of older children. Morley seems lovely, but not a lot of outside space for a ds who loves to keep moving. The two schools also seems to have a different ethos with regards to learning. This should probably be a deciding factor, but I'm can't make up my mind which makes more sense!

Does anyone have dc at these schools (or Queen Ediths) who could say what they like/dislike or even anyone making the same decision who would like to share their thoughts?

both my youngest children have been at Morley, dd is still there in year 1, and I have always been really impressed. Early years is gorgeous - in fact it's a real wrench when they go up to the main school. Ds really struggled with confidence and learning for a while and they were so brilliant with him...and dd is doing extremely well. I agree there's not a lot of space outside and it is a fairly big school, but on the whole that balances out with the quality of the school. Some of the mummies are a bit 'yoghurtweavinglentilgrowers', but there is also a big international mix - ds's bf is Spanish, dd's three bf's aare Swiss, german and Chineses! i wish there was a uniform but that's really my only grumble. Hope that helps

that's very useful, thanks :)

we didn't get to see the main school at the open evening, but the reception building was lovely. so nice for them to have a space to themselves when small, especially as ds can be painfully shy.
