Horse riding

Hello
We are moving to Tunbridge Wells from SW11 in three weeks time.
I love horse riding and was wondering if someone could recommend a good/friendly riding stable close to TBW. My two children are horse mad and I would love for them to be able to do riding lessons (they are 3 & 5.) My au pair is also looking for a horse share/ to be a riding help. She's a very experienced rider (showjumping).
Thanks
x

I'm not sure it would be the yard for your au pair, but my daughter rides at Wellgrove Farm in Pembury which is fantastic. It's BHS approved and is also a Pony Club centre, so they do lots of camps and work towards the awards.

They do have adults riding obviously, but the horses are a bit more cobby/ploddy than showjumpers. However, you could ask Emma as I'm sure she'd be more than happy to help.

Riding Farm Stables in Hildenborough is probably better for adults -I didn't rate the teaching for my DD there, but I've had a couple of good lessons there.

Thanks PanicMode
I did find Wellgrove Farm through a google search and it looks really nice. I will try to book the kids in there. They will love the little cute 20 year old pony (Tuppence)just perfect for them.
I will check out the Riding Farm Stables in Hildenborough sounds great.
Thanks again for your help. : )

Hi again,
Just remembered there is Bedgebury Park, but it is a bit of a trek out of TW, and is also fairly expensive...but it is much more geared to competitions and they regularly have top riders doing demonstration events etc.

There's Honnington Equestrian Centre. That's on the N side of Tunbridge Wells. I don't know exactly what they do there, though, since I only go there to fix their computers.

flatpack - not sure they do lessons anymore - think it's just a livery yard now.
