We did a trial session and hated it :-( The equipment was old and not very interesting and the teacher was extremely strict and humourless about what would be happening and when which didn't work well with DD. We decided not to go back. I would recommend gymboree instead. It is a little more expensive but you can go to the drop in sessions and saturday fun day included in the monthly price, and in the winter this can be very handy. Plus the equipment is top notch and the teachers, Bobby & Guy, are a lot of fun while still keeping the level of discapline necessary to prevent accidents and fights!

tumble tots has more than 450 centres across the UK and i made the mistake of attending muswell hill branch. my son found it very boring. the equipment is extremely simple, the place is cold, background music is badly chosen and employees are not really interested in development of your child. after two sessions we stopped going to these useless sessions and wasted so much money!. any soft play or even running around in your local park will help your child more and you don't have to pay about 10 pounds for 45 minutes.
i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
i wasn't mentioned about the trial class and if you decide to go make sure you ask about this and judge it with yourself.

Thanks for the replies londra and spooniem. Doesn't sound too good! I will go to the trial class and see what it's like - I guess a lot depends on each class and the teacher.

Btw, for anyone looking for things to do with their baby, I went to a sing and sign class recently and DS (7 mths) loved it.
