Primary school in Twickenham

Hi
I would love to hear from other mothers in the area who have children going to Twickenham Prep, Newland House, St Mary CE, St Steven or Orleans infant.
My child is due to start reception next year.
What are your experiences (positive and negative) at any of the above schools.
How easy is it to go from a state primary school to a private secondary school?
How do Twick prep compare to Newland house?
I am not familiar with the english education system so would be very grateful for advice.
Thank you!

Hi. Realise this is a few months out of date but thought I'd post just in case. I have a DD at Twickenham Prep and she loves it there. I've also been really happy with it. She went from Reception. What I love about it is that it is nurturing and caring but also academic. Class sizes are small, they are updating their facilities like building a new music block. All the mums are lovely and down to earth. I looked around Newland House and she had a place there too, but out of the two I preferred Twickenham Prep. I was put off by the pre-prep in Newland House (small and cramped) whereas the Pre-Prep at TPS is large, spacious with a library and their own little gardens to plant things. I'm not sure about the state schools but have heard St Mary's and St Peters' in Teddington is very good - although I think you have to attend church regularly. Hope this helps. Good luck.
