playdates wanted in Hadley Wood area

Hi
We are new to the area and I have a 6 yr old son and 4 yr old daughter. They are on the waiting list for the local schools (Hadley Wood, Monken Hadley) etc, so they are still going to school in Islington, where we moved from. My son in particular would love to meet boys his age for playdates at weekends/after school. As he is not in school in this area we are finding it hard for him to meet new friends. He loves Dr Who, riding his bike, making things, games with cars/army vehicles etc. My daughter is mad about rabbits and colouring in!
Would appreciate any contacts from anyone out there in our area! Thanks.

Hi, I was wondering if you have signed up for any outside school activities? My 4-year old goes to ballet in High Barnet at Church House and my 8-year old goes to karate at the library. These are good ways of meeting and making new friends.

We are very new to the area and I am looking for ballet lessons. My DD loves it so thank you very much for the info. I will check out Church House. My DS is not into karate but I am sure theere is something out there for him!
