Babies on buses are having a relaunch. Lothian Buses have recently started enforcing what they say has been is a consistent policy that bans all non- folding buggies on ALL their buses- even the new pink top ones with the extra designated buggy spots.
This policy seems to fly in the face of the commitments/compromises reached in the 2008 campaign in respect of having designated buggy spaces. In some ways it's even worse now because people have quite naturally been assuming that having designated buggy spaces means folding isn't a requirement or an issue any more on those buses- and so get a nasty shock when they are denied access.
